On the 27th of August 2008 a workshop for representatives of state authorities and self-government bodies “Pesticides and agrochemicals. Unavailable and unusable pesticides, their maintenance and utilization” will be held in the city of Turka of Lviv oblast.

Workshop Agenda:

• Main principles of state policy in the sphere of treatment of pesticides and agrochemicals. Enhancing efficiency of work of responsible persons and government for the solution of an issue of utilization of dangerous wastes.
• Pesticides, classification of pesticides and general principles of their use. Treatment of unauthorized and unusable pesticides.
• Ecological and sanitary safety in the process of treatment of pesticides.
• Perspectives of introducing of a Program on recording of dangerous wastes in Lviv oblast
• Implementation of a project on utilization of unauthorized and unusable pesticides in Lviv oblast
• Experience of Poland in the sphere of utilization of unauthorized and unusable pesticides
• General overview of international and national legislation.
