Project "Utilization of Illegal Pesticides"

On 6 November 2008 in Lviv there was held a seminar for representatives of local self-governance and authorized bodies of state executive bodies located in Zolochiv and Peremyshliany rayons. 39 persons participated in the seminar.

Within the framework of the project realization, seminar “Pesticides and agrochemicals. Forbidden and unsuitable for usage pesticides, their storage and neutralizing” will be organized on 8 October 2008 in Yavoriv and will be meant for representatives of authority bodies and local self-governance.

The packaging of illegal and dangerous pesticides was completed in the following villages: Kariv, Domashiv, Boryatyn of Sokalskyi Region; Mazyarnia-Karanska of Kamianka-Buzka Region; Krakovets of Yavorivkyi Region; and Sudova Vyshnia of Mostyskyi Region.

The pesticides were specially packaged for transportation and disposal in Hamburg, Germany, in accordance with project plans.

A project seminar took place in Komariv village in Sokalskyi Region, Lviv Oblast.

In the framework of the project, a seminar on “Pesticides and agrochemicals: illegal and dangerous pesticides, proper handling and disposal” took place in Turka, Lviv Oblast.
